Hamilton Modular Builder is Helping Address the Housing Crisis Head-on

Hamilton Business Review
“The city has chosen a Hamilton-area modular home company to provide the 60 micro shelters that will form a temporary new neighbourhood in southeast London for people with nowhere else to live.
Fero International Inc., based in Stoney Creek, builds the modular homes at its factory and delivers them by truck to their destination, where they are lifted into place by crane, said company CEO Sabrina Fiorellino.
‘We do very complex projects and very simple projects, and some of the projects we have done are analogous to what we’re doing here,’ Fiorellino said.
‘We are in a housing crisis. We need permanent solutions, semi-permanent and temporary solutions.’
Mayor Josh Morgan used his strong mayor powers in late September to expedite finding the city-owned location at 1710 Wilton Grove Road, and to do preliminary planning work for the site. He wants it operational by December 31.”
